Festival de Ballons Rebranding

Simona Cellar designed Festival de Ballons Rebranding. The Festival de Ballons takes place each winter in the Swiss Alps and brings together pilots from many different countries. This 9-day festival includes a night-time show, hot air balloon rides and kids’ day. 

The current identity design lacks consistency and is attached to the tourist brand of Château-d’Oex. The designer created a colorful stand-alone brand identity that works across all media. 
The created logo works on its own, as graphic elements or in combination with images and mimics the movement and layers of flying hot air balloons. The blue colors pick up on the winter scenery, the reds connect to the Swissness and the purple tones are added for a whimsical touch. The black-and-white photography links to Bertrand Piccards historical world tour and the chosen Typefaces create movement.
