Tomi Lahdesmaki designed TRIGALAX – a personal project that he has been working on and off for over three years and centers around the idea of using his medium of graphic design, and branding specifically, to tell a fictional story. Throughout his career he has always struggled with the commercial and “real world” aspects of his profession, and the limitless creativity in storytelling other mediums such as movies and writing play with. So he wanted to push beyond the typical parameters of graphic design and explore creating an original world and story using his beloved medium. The result is a fictional (and a little tongue in cheek) case study for a corporation in the far distant future and a love letter to classic timeless branding.
