At Mindsparkle we are very passionate about creativity, design, and digital culture, so we were thrilled to attend the 22nd edition of the OFFF Festival in Barcelona. The festival brought together an incredible lineup of 78 speakers from all over the world, including David Carson and Brian Collins. It was amazing to hear from these creative minds and gain insights into their work and creative process.
Throughout OFFF Festival, we had the opportunity to attend numerous talks and even conduct interviews with some of the industry's most talented professionals, including David Carson, Not Real, Eva Cremers, Baillat Studio, and OMSE. Each speaker shared not only their incredible work, but also the process, strategies, and personal care that went into their creations. It was a truly unique experience to witness firsthand the effort and dedication that these artists pour into their craft.
The festival's core themes centered around a range of valuable topics, including generative Artificial Intelligence, discovering one's path, stepping outside of comfort zones, adapting to change, and personal renewal. Over the course of the three-day event, we were able to witness the collaborative creation of a beautiful mural, brought to life by Montana Colors.
In addition to the festival, OFFF also held a competition for emerging creatives called "On the Rise," which saw five winners, including Street of Sound, presenting their projects on the OFFF main stage. The festival also launched a book titled "Turn," which was given away to all attendees. The book is dedicated to mental health and includes contributions from several artists who shared a personal pain they experienced and how they overcame it using any graphic or visual resource that best illustrates their emotions.
The OFFF Festival was an incredible experience that we will never forget. It was inspiring to be surrounded by so many talented and creative people, and we left feeling energised and motivated to continue exploring our own creativity. We can't wait for the next edition of the festival in 2024, and we’re already counting down the days.
