Turin-based data-visualization studio, Algo, created the Techtalia conference motion identity, a scalable system that allows their team to generate a video that introduces every speaker, panel & talk — combining a Speaker scene, Title scene, and branded Outro.
Everything is built inside Figma and powered by their Figma plugin, a tool allowing their clients to edit texts, swap images and change colors in Figma — and easily preview and export the resulting video. The design draws from Florentine architectural icons, especially the Santa Maria del Fiore Cathedral and the Baptistery of St. John. These historical details inspire the system’s graphical elements, with playful stylized arches that get deformed and typography based on blending mode: difference — echoing the city’s Romanesque style.
The color palette brings Florence’s outdoor light to the screen, shifting from dawn to dusk tones in sync with the timing of each talk. This unique effect highlights the blend of design and technology that the Algo system brings to Techtalia’s conference branding.
The studio even made the Figma working file open to the community, so anyone can try first hand how the system works by using the algo plugin.
