Sofia Pusa designed Architectural Days. The task was to create a visual identity for the Finnish Association of Architects’s Architectural Days 2019 event. The theme was Kuri ja järjestys (Discipline and Order), referring, tongue-in-cheek, to the recent public discussion of the boxy, brutalist architecture in Finland, among other things.
The solution was a graphic and bold visual identity that makes use of the Fit typeface, with its strong rhythm that resembles a condensed city; it makes the words kuri (discipline) and järjestys (order) look like brutalist architecture, which has block-like forms and raw concrete construction.
